Our Story (continued)

Living with debilitating health challenges can make even the simplest of tasks seem impossible. Whether it is physical or mental, all challenges can have the most profound effect on a person's life and that of their loved ones. In my own experience, having battled crippling depression for decades, with a 'side serving' of anxiety 'joining the party' in recent years, it has left me feeling broken beyond repair. In moments of clarity, I am able to understand logically and rationally that I am not but that damn emotional part of my brain does a right good job of making those 'moments of clarity' happen rarely and disappear faster than the blink of an eye!

With the summary above explaining a tiny bit of 'me', the story behind fuctifano.com is one of, idea... start... stumble... fall... cry... give up hope... find strength... go again... start... stumble... fall, and so on and so on for years!!! This is the closest I have came to 'officially starting' so if you get to read this, I have at least made it to launching the website!!! The main reasons for starting this venture is to prove to myself that I am not completely broken, I am still able to be creative and useful, while helping others as well as myself. For anyone who has taken the time to read this, thank you, I am truly grateful... now go and buy something from our amazing range, you will love them all!

The Ideas Behind the Designs

Logo Design - Our simple logo design is our attempt to use the amazing word/phrase in a way that looks stylish and cool but also is clear and concise, so that everyone reading it knows exactly what it says (even if it has to be explained to them!). Also, as it looks so good, it can be worn anywhere at anytime. It has a distressed effect font at its core and this is to symbolise the way many of those struggling with mental health challenges feel much of the time and we believe this helps create a logo worthy of what we are trying to do here.

Saltire Design - Even though fuctifano might sound a little Italian, it is most definitely a word that is 100% Scottish and sounds so much better when we say it! The Saltire is added to our word logo to create a design that we hope will appeal to many of our customers, especially to the 'ex-pat community' around the world who still love Scottish humour and want to wear it in their new homes around the globe. We are very confident it will be a great conversation starter worldwide!

Glasgow Design - Being born and raised in Glasgow in one of the many 'schemes', I am very proud of my roots and wanted to capture the City's essence in one of our designs. Also, I believe that our accent is the best at saying fuctifano, (even though I might be biased!) I love the skyline images so we decided to add this to our word logo to create, what we believe, is a super cool design for our amazing range.
